This was my very first attempt at throwing a pot. It's a stoneware pot, using Doble's Clay from St Agnes, Cornwall.I am so lucky to have this quarry right on my doorstep. Its unique silica sand and clay deposit, means it is favoured by many renowned potters. For example, they have supplied the Leach Pottery since the 1960's.
The available clays vary in shade from milky white, through to coal black.
